The city of Fuzhou (China) will host the next session of the World Heritage Committee in 2020. This decision concluded the work of the 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee, meeting in Baku since 30 June.
In the city of Almaty (Kazakhstan), took place the inauguration of the street named after the ethnic poet of Bashkortostan, outstanding poet, writer, publicist, dramatist and public figure Mustai Karim.
Guests and participants of the 53rd International Children's Games began to arrive in Ufa. Monuments of ancient Pskov, including 18 monuments of history and culture are inscribed by UNESCO on its list of Cultural Heritage. The decision was made during the 43rd session of Cultural Heritage committee in Baku.
The World Heritage Committee, meeting in Baku until 10 July, inscribed twenty nine sites on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Bashkortostan has taken part in Moscow international festival “Sabantui – 2019”. This time the republic was represented by Kushnarenkovo and Khaibulla districts: best art groups and Bashkir stage stars performed on the region’s behalf.
During the meeting at Sterlitamak branch of Bashkir State University, projects for the Toratau Geopark that is being created in the district were discussed.
Anton Sazonov, bicycle traveler from Ufa, continues his expedition “Children of the World”. Last year he rode on his bicycle over Central and South-Eastern Asia. Now, Anton is headed west – to Lisbon.
