The Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and Acting Governor of the Chelyabinsk region Alexei Teksler met in Ufa on August 4.
In an informal setting, the parties discussed the prospects for strengthening interregional cooperation in the socio-economic and national-cultural spheres, a possibility of implementing joint projects in the field of industry and tourism, the official website of the Head of the Republic reports.
“The Chelyabinsk region is our neighbors, brothers. This is a region that is developing quite successfully. More than 150 thousand Bashkirs live there, and it is essential for us that they feel good, that their national culture develops, and that they have the opportunity to learn their native language. We have discussed that we will support them in all these areas. Moreover, we will also strengthen support from our side: both financial and methodological”, Radiy Khabirov stated.
“Strong economic, cultural relations traditionally connect our territories, but we have much to strive for, and we have big plans in this regard. We will develop our regions. Our region is large, multinational. Naturally, the Bashkirs occupy a key, most important place in that intermingling of peoples and cultures that exist in our territory. Certainly, we will continue to provide them with comprehensive support”, Alexey Texler said.
The regional leaders agreed to expand cooperation within the framework of the existing agreements, primarily in terms of increasing trade turnover, developing industrial and tourism potential.
Radiy Khabirov and Alexey Teksler visited the Salavat Yulaev Monument and talked with residents of the republic.
