The International contest "Ural-Batyr-the heritage of humanity" is 11 years old!

Recently, Ufa hosted for the eleventh time the International Contest of young storytellers and performers of the Bashkir epic "Ural-Batyr" in the languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation and the world as part of the UNESCO project "Epics of the Worlds Nations".

The landmark event was held the Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for UNESCO and Bashkir Institute of Social Technologies (branch) of Educational Institution "Academy of Labor and Social Relations" with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The event was held for the first time in a mixed format: the traditional face-to-face participation and online performances. Participants from the Russian regions (as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Kursk, Saratov, Kurgan, Nizhny Novgorod Oblasts, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)) and foreign countries (as Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Israel, India and Montenegro) presented a video of the performance.

This year, 574 participants presented more than 30 languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation and the world. For the first time the epic "Ural-Batyr" was presented in Chinese, Czech, Tajik and Pashto.

Among the nominations of the contest was the traditional performance of the epic "Ural-Batyr" in the peoples of the Russian Federation and the world languages. Contests of guidebooks "on places of epic heroes of the peoples of the world ", choreography, instrumental music and vocal skills were also held. In addition, the author's poems were presented on the theme "The epic hero of my nation".

At the end of the event, the participants of the Contest expressed their sincere gratitude to the organizers and members of the jury for the annual International Contest of Performers of the Bashkir Epic "Ural-Batyr", in which students of many cities and districts of the Republic of Bashkortostan, regions of Russia and foreign countries actively participated.
