"Development of linguistic competencies" platform will open in one of the UNESCO – Associated Schools in Ufa

An innovative platform "Development of linguistic competencies of students in a multilingual environment" will open on the basis of the UNESCO Associated School – Gymnasium No. 39 in Ufa. The project aims to unite participants through common linguistic interests, promote the ideas of the UN and UNESCO in the field of sustainable development, and strengthen diverse professional and educational ties.

The platform will draw public attention to the necessity of improvement the level of linguistic competencies of students for the effective development of economic policy and communication in the fuel and energy complex in the interests of sustainable development of the region.

On March 4, the agreement on the innovative platform opening was signed between the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (USPTU)" and the Municipal Budget Educational Institution "Gymnasium No. 39" of Ufa.

The event was attended by the Rector of USPTU, representatives of the teaching staff, the Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for UNESCO, graduate undergraduate students of USPTU, the Public Fund "Thirty-ninth Parallel", heads of subject departments of the Gymnasium and the Pupils Council.

The event was held in conjunction with the "Year of Science and Technology" announced by the President of the Russian Federation.
